What equipment will be needed?
All players will require some basic hockey equipment: helmets with facemask, mouthguard, shoulder pads, gloves, athletic support and cup, Lacrosse specific equipment include arm pads and kidney and back protectors. Field/Box lacrosse gloves offer excellent protection and flexibility. Short cuff hockey gloves can be used, but they don’t offer the same grip or flexibility. Box Lacrosse Equipment Guidlines

1. Lacrosse Helmet & Face Mask or Hockey Helmet & Face Mask (Starting 2012 all face masks must me CSA approved or be approved hockey face masks) Note that lacrosse masks have wider spacing for more visibility.

3. Shoulder Pads
4. Arm Pads (Two Types – 1 Piece or 3 Piece)
5. LAP (placed over bicep and attached to shoulder pad
6. Back / Kidney Pads (Offers protection for back & kidney area)
7. Gloves (Box Lacrosse Gloves or Short Cuff Hockey Gloves)
8. Knee Pads (Soft Volleyball style recommended for Tyke, Novice and Pee Wee)
9. Sneakers (Basketball high cut recommended)
10. Lacrosse Stick
• Pee Wee and down stick length 34’’ – 46’’
• Bantam and up stick length 40’’ – 46’’
11. Athletic Support (Jock or Jill)
